Teresa Johnson

Teresa Johnson grew up in Columbus, OH and came to Huntington in 1978. In 1979 she began ‘watching’ children and that grew into full time work and opening her own childcare center – Heaven Sent.  She has been in the Foster Care business for six and a half years and a member of CASA for three years. She has also adopted children.

Teresa is a member of Real-Life Christian Center Church and begins every morning with her daily devotional.

She is a board member of the Fairfield Community Development Corporation, the Fairfield Alliance and is a connector with Faith Health.

In 2020 she ran for Huntington City Council and was elected from District 5 for a four-year term.

Teresa enjoys listening, and especially enjoys hearing the stories of the elderly and learning from them.

In the Fall of 2022 she led a new coat drive to give every student at Spring Hill Elementary School a new coat.  She was able to collect over 500 brand new coats for the students!
