Anthony J. Stradwick

Service and Leadership

Anthony J. Stradwick was born in Wheeling, WV.  After graduating from Wheeling Park High School in 1977,  he entered Marshall University and graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He attended the Victory Bible Training Center and hold certifications in addiction recovery and public housing management.
 He was hired in 1984 as the Director of Youth Evening Activities at the Fairfield West Community Center and after leaving that position, he worked with the Tri-State Regional Blood as the Donor Resources Consultant, Stockroom Manager and the Blood Panel Driver.  In 1992 he was hired as the Resident Manager and Property Administrator at the Rotary Gardens Apartments.  In 2001 he worked with the Huntington West Virginia Housing Authority as the Public Housing Manager, Public Housing Technician and Family Support Services Coordinator. When Recovered Solutions began its program in 2019, he served as the Program Coordinator.
Anthony has served in many capacities in his ministry beginning in 1985 as Deacon at First Baptist Church, Associate Pastor of King’s Dominion Ministries, Lay Pastor with New Life Church and with Salt of the World Ministries as president and founder of Shepherd’s House Sober Living for men and women and the Shepherd’s Program of Recovery and Transformation.
He is a licensed ordained minister and does outreach ministry, street evangelization and many other ministries including marriage counseling, performing weddings and funerals.
Anthony serves on many community boards including the Quick Response Team Advisory Board, The Rotary Gardens Apartments Board, and the Cabell County Recovery Coalition.  He has served on the Fairfield Alliance, the Addiction/Recovery Committee, the Cabell Huntington Hospital Board of Directors, and the Huntington Day of Hope Committee. He has coached community track and field, football  and baseball teams.  He was a break dance instructor with the Pop-Lite Daners and he still DJ’s at community events in the tri-state area.
Currently he serves as the Senior Pastor at the First Baptist Church and advocates for recovery programs in the tri-state area.
