T'Asia Rankin

Community Activist

T’Asia is a lifelong, proud resident of the city of Huntington, who has dedicated countless hours to defending/supporting our queer community through marches, drag shows, and financial contributions. While at Marshall University, when she wasn’t busy earning her degree or playing with the Marching Thunder, T’Asia was an advocate for Muslim women and their right to practice Islam by wearing a hijab in solidarity. She spent much of her early adulthood as a mentor for our city’s youth, eventually finding a career at River Park Hospital, where she was beloved by patients and staff for her kindness and patience. Currently she is employed by Marshall Health Network, where she was CHH’s June employee of the month. Where others continue to hang their hats on the accomplishments of yesterday, T’Asia is constantly looking forward, and is always eager to help both her loved ones and her community.
