Barbara Ann Johnson
Barbara Ann Johnson was one of the first Black female babysitters in West Virginia. She raised a lot of children in this area and spent many years standing on the corner of 9th Avenue and 19th street getting children on and off the bus. She babysat for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great cook. She would cook and call anyone that was hungry and feed them. She loved her church, pastor and community. She was a member of the Huntington Elks for years.
