Aaron S. Dillard was born in Williamson, WV and moved to Huntington with his family when he was five years old. He attended Cabell County Schools, graduating from Huntington High School in 1988. Upon graduation, Aaron enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he served six years. He was honorably discharged in 1904 as a submarine veteran.
Aaron graduated from the Huntington School of Beauty Culture and is a licensed barber. He is the owner of Legendary Cutz, 1208 4th Avenue, which has been in operation for ten years with six additional licensed barbers. Prior to opening his own shop, Aaron worked at Uppercuts barber shop.
It is through his shop that a number of community outreach endeavors have been initiated. Primarily,
Community Minority Mental Health Awareness workshops in collaboration with Marshall University Counseling Center and Fairfield Community Development Corporation.
Collecting canned goods and other nonperishable items at Thanksgiving for the Huntington Food Bank.
Purchasing toys and clothing for five families each year at Christmas.
Collaborating with the Jessica Kern Huff Foundation to provide free back-to-school hair cuts for students.
Aaron consistently recruits and mentors barbers in the Huntington area.
In addition to Legendary Cutz, Aaron is also the owner of Timeless Renovations LLC.
