Audrey Farrow McClinton

Audrey Farrow McClinton was a lifelong Huntington resident who educated and mentored children in the Fairfield community for several years.

McClinton attended Barnett School and graduated from Douglass High School in 1951.

She went on to work at the Sylvania plant on the assembly line for a few years, but her love for children and wanting to help mold young minds would guide her to become a pre-school teacher. She worked with Head Start for a few years and later joined the staff of Barnett Child Care Center in the Fairfield community. She spent the remainder of her time there before she retired.

Her philosophy of preparing children for kindergarten and first grade was to teach with love while introducing them to the tools and skills they would need to be well-prepared.
