Gail Henderson-Staples


Gail T. Henderson-Staples is a lifelong resident of Huntington. She attended Barnett Day Care, Simms Elementary School, Cammack Junior High School and graduated from Huntington High School.

She went on to attend Chatham College where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English. She graduated from West Virginia University Law School in 1984. She returned to Huntington to join her father’s law firm, which is now Henderson, Henderson & Staples.

She is a member of the Hearing Panel in the Office of Disciplinary Counsel for the State of West Virginia. She also is a member of the Mountain State Bar Association, the West Virginia State Bar Association, the NAACP and Mount Zion Baptist Church.

In 2020, Mayor Steve Williams appointed her as the municipal court judge for the City of Huntington.
