Teresa Crisp
Teresa is a lifelong resident of Huntington. After graduation from Huntington High School, she attended West Virginia State College and returned to Marshall to complete her master’s degree in Art. She is a professional artist – she paints, creates ceramics, and sculpts. In 2021 she created a bust of former Marshall University President Jerome Gilbert commissioned by for the Fairfield Community Recognition Committee.
Teresa mentors both youth and adults. She uses her skills and talents to promote art, science, and math by ‘utilizing and creating with the bear minimums available.’ Teresa is a member of the Mary F. Handy Missionary Society and the Women’s Missionary Society of the Young Chapel African Methodist Church. She is also a member of the Huntington Chapter of LINKS Inc. and she is a member of the Alumni Association of both West Virginia State University and Marshall University.
