Patrick Patterson

Patrick Patterson was born in Washington, D.C., but grew up in Huntington and graduated from Huntington High School, where he played on the basketball team. He played a pivotal role in the Highlanders winning state championships in 2005, 2006 and 2007. The 2007 championship team, which featured Patterson and O.J. Mayo, is regarded as one of the best high school basketball teams in West Virginia’s history.

Patterson was considered an elite recruit and was named a McDonald’s All-American coming out of high school. He attended the University of Kentucky and was named to the  All-SEC Freshman Team as well as the All-SEC Second Team his first year playing for the Wildcats. Patterson worked hard in the classroom as well, earning his degree in only three years at Kentucky. He was named to the All-SEC First Team his junior year and declared for the NBA Draft on April 23, 2010.

Two months later, Patterson was selected by the Houston Rockets as the 14th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. He went on to play 13 seasons in the NBA for Houston, Sacramento, Toronto, Oklahoma City and the Los Angeles Clippers.

In October 2021, Patterson and producer Joel Reilly launched Undisputed Pictures, a production company that set its sights on developing, financing and producing a slate of film, TV, media and entertainment projects.
